Melton has put together a winning combination of equipment, compensation and freight opportunities. Owner-operators earn 90 cpm, plus $40 tarp pay and $40 stop pay. Other perks include fuel adjustments that are increased with every 6 cent rise in the national average price of fuel, as well as paid tolls, scale tickets, and base plates and permits. Currently, a new Melton contractor will receive a $1000 sign-on bonus that can be applied to a headache rack, if needed.
